My dear sister
I take my pen in hand to inform you that i am well at present and all the rest of the boys is well
Joe was wondid a littel in the head but he is well a gane and he is so big and fat you would harly now him if you would see him Jake is well and Willam was kild in the last battel we had at [illeg.] on the 20th of Fedury John Chambers and John Henry Carl was kild in the same battel Solomon Cambel sent his love to you Dave is well gorge Demis had the mesles but he is well a gane i hope thes fue lins may find you all in joyen the good health and i hope the lord will bring the day soon that we may meet a gane pleas give my love to all the rest of the frends you Can tell Mrs Cambel that i am Camp Clost to her husban i Can see him every day you must excuse my short letter this time for now i must bring my letter to a Close nothen more at present good by
