i take this present of time of Dropping you a few lines State to you how i am getting along I am happy to say that I am getting along very Well and i Would like if you Would Write soon for fear i May start for home and if you Do Write Why you Need Not send Me anything for [unclear: Fire] i Won't get it For i am getting My Paper Made out Now and i think that I Will leave Camp about the First of June and i Don't think that it Will take very long till i Can get all My things Pick up and then We Need Not trouble ourself about Writing so Much for When you get to see My Face again Why it Will to [unclear: Never] Come home to With out you or With Me and i think if i get home Now Why i Can Make enough to Keep you and I for awhile anyhow and i hope When these few lines Reach your Dear husband that they May Find you Well and us [unclear: tha] Can Me Nothing More at present But still Remain your [unclear: Fetch] Friend and [unclear: trulavery] and Dear husband until Death

I hope you give My best Rests to all the inquiring Friends and My best For yourself and lisabeth and Dad you Must excuse Me for Writing so Much and you have to pay for them for i have Not got any stamps
