My Dear

it is With the greatest of pleasure that I take this opportunity to inform you that I am Well at Present and i hope When these few lines Come to hand they may find you in the greatest of pleasure i Would a wrote sooner but i Was Disappointed i start home for me and Jacop A Watson Was to get our furlough about two Weeks ago and We never got them yet but i am looking for them day after tomorrow and you need not to write till you get another letter for i may be home in two Weeks but i Can't tell you how soon but i haven't got a letter from you for five Weeks about i thought maybe you Was so busy that you had not time to write but i hope that i Will find you Well When i Do Come i got a letter from John and he say that he don't know What to do but tell him to stay at home for i am Coming home to stay i am not able to [unclear: stan] the army since i Was Wounded the [unclear: least] thing for my head but i think if i get home and go to doctor harmen Why i Can get a piece of silver put on the hole Why i think that it Will get Well i must bring my letter to a Close by sending you a sweet kiss good night give my love to all [illeg.] friend
