Dear Sister

I take my pen in hand to inform to you that I am at present and these few lines I hope will find you the same we are all well and are getting Along very well yet so far We haven't receive no money yet and from all account they won't keep us much longer I think that we will be home before a great while David and George well and hearty and lively we all like soldiering very well but we don't like the thing of doing without money so long we don't work so hard now any more I thought we have seen our hardest times now the weather is very changeable here some time very cool And some days very hot but it don't get cold enough to freeze ice though I would like to be home to eat some turkey and chicken but I hope that I will get home yet to get something good to eat if we live to get home We will be able to tell you something about old times we can tell you of things that you never dream of for I have seen thing that I never dream of before tell Elizeberth that I wrote to her and I have been looking for and answer and haven't got no answer yet give my best respect to all the inquiring friends I can't write much this time but still remember
