Dear Brother & Sister
I seat mi Self this morning for the purpuss of dropping you a few lines to inform you that I am very well hoping when this comes to hand it may find you well I have nothing interesting to write I am on my way to our Regiment I am at Staunton I Expect to leave heare to day we will have to March 92 miles it is thought that our comand is at Martinsburg Va the is a very sorry Crop of Corn in this parte of the State the is no chance to Make Bread but Wheat is very fine you Nead not write Soon for I cant get it until we Station
