i take my pen in hand to in form you that We ar All Well at present and I hope thes fue lins may find you all Well When i gut your letter i Was on Bord of the steem boat Coming from savannah to georgetown and When i gut thear i set my self down to Ancer it and the nix thing i heard Was fall in Company J in [unclear: lite] marcing orders and the nix thing i hard Was forword March and a Way We went to hunt the Johneys and We found them too and kild a grate meney of them We fot for six days

We didin lose verry meney We took all old mare meet and every thing he had to eat And burnt down thear houses We Went a but one hundred And fifty nils a bouve george town and We hard that peace Was decleard and then We Cam back to george town a gane think that We Will be home in too months We ar giting a long verry Well We had quite a nice time on the rode We Didin lost enny out of our Companey give my love to all the rest and all the rest of the boys sends thear love to you all David is Well and george We Captered A but two hundred Cars and twenty thee lokemotives and burnt them up and We brot for thousand slaves With us to george town [unclear: O J T] Was one of the grates sits that i ever seen We started on the 4th of Aprile and gut back on the 26 and We march every Day this is all i have to tell you this time so i think i must Com to a Close this time nothen mor at present but still remane
