My Dear Sister

I receive your letter to Day We have been in a fight And Willaim was Wounded verry badly Joseph was Wounded but not verry bad The rebels was to many for us and we had to fall back the rebels gut William so I think for we haveant heard any thing of him but Joseph he gut away I didand get Wounded this tim samuel was [unclear: ant] in the fight The Weather is verry Warm here The peach threes has been in blosom for three Weeks I haveant time to rite much David say he is well And he would rite himself but he has no paper nor ink We lost evry thing while We was on the much he say that he has two orangs as half as big as his head And he say that he would cend them to you if he could du it We have been pade yet But I think that we will be pade before very long now the eight Pennsylvaina regiment is verry badly cut up & John chambers was kild and John Henry Carl was kild nothing more at preasant still remain
