My Dear sister
i take my pen in Hand to inform you that We ar All Well at present and i hope that When thes fue lins Coms to hands that thay may find you in good health We ar in Savannah now and i think that We Will be thear all sumer We Was in Charleston a While and We left and Went to savannah i Would have Wrote sooner but i had now paper and i thought that i Wod not Write till i Wod gut my things but i have gut them now Give my love to father and to lizebeth And to all the rest of the friends I think that We Will have pretty good tims now i think that We Will Due the provost Duty in the City the Regiment is in good health at the present
Pleas to Write soon And let me now How [unclear: tims] is it is very Warm hear now and the peach trees ar in bloom down hear and every thing is green i seen David to day and he is Well and if i Can get home this sumer i Will Com. We Will be pade of soon i think you must excuse my short letter this time for i must fall in for inspcin now and i havin time to Write mutch this time so i think i must Com to a Close thes time nothen mor a present but still reman
