Franklin County: S. E. Suffield, Medical Certification for James Potts, January 7, 1863

Summary:
S. E. Suffield reports that James Pott requires additional leave to recover from his wound in his head.

January 7, 1863

McConnelsburg, Pa.

I have been the attending physician of Lieut. Jas. Pott of the 126th Pa. Vol. who was wounded in the face at the late battle of Fredericksburg. His furlough will expire at the 18th inst. It is my opinion from the present condition of his wounds, that an extension of twenty days will be necessary in order to fit him for active duty.

Very Respt.

S. E. Suffield
