I recived your check on the Bank of Chambersburg for one hundred & Eighty three dollars & seventy five cts to be credited on the note of the [unclear: Mgr] G Brewer-

If the bal- of the note could be paid to James Dickey to whoom I owe money & his ricept taken therefor it would answer Every purpose
